Shafston's Teachers
The quality of the teacher is very important. All teachers at Shafston have a post-graduate qualification in English teaching AND lengthy experience in the classroom. Shafston teachers are committed to providing quality instruction and are dedicated to making sure each student reaches his or her true potential. Student feedback is taken very seriously and ensures high teaching standards are maintained. Two teachers are assigned to any one class. This ensures a continuity of teaching and also allows students to experience different teaching styles. Students can request a "one on one" student/teacher conference to get private practical advice on their learning experience.
English Proficiency Testing - On the first day and prior to arrival
Prior to your arrival at Shafston we can send you a test that will accurately assess your current level of English. This is a good way of determining how long you should aim to study. It is also useful for students planning to take exam preparation programs such as the Cambridge Certificates. Please ask us to send a pre-entry test to you.
On your first day at Shafston you will undertake orientation followed by testing in all core skills to ensure you are placed in the class that matches your level of English.
Graduation
At the completion of your course you will be awarded with an English Studies Certificate outlining the course/s you undertook and the level of proficiency you have reached. This is time for celebration. We make sure your last day is fun and rewarding!
